Slept till 9:00 to catch up on jet lag. Spoke with teacher Bonnie T and she invited me to dinner. Learned a lot about the real Egypt from conversation with Bonnie, husband Dan and Scottish couple (Shaun and Nina) and daughter Louise Driving here is like a smash up derby. Can't get over the over loaded vehicles and fall apart cabs. Gas is about 15-20 cents a litre. The Egyptian pound is worth .20 Canadian. Came home and forgot my watch was on NS time and ended staying up till 2:30 when I thought I was going to bed early. Good thing I can sleep through anything, the dogs bark all night and the cars honk, honk all night long.
