April 18, 2012

School today, even though it rained a bit with high winds last night no significant amount of rain fell. After school a friend and I took our snorkel gear and went to a cove near Quram Heights. It is a cove surrounded by what looks like limestone cliffs. There is coral there and a nice selection of fish.  The water was nice and warm and the air warm as well. I saw beautiful blue parrot fish, striped fish and so many more types. As we were snorkeling we were surrounded by huge schools of fish, so many we couldn’t see the bottom.  They seemed endless and there were at least two separate schools with different types of fish. There were also smaller schools as well. The large ones must have had 500 000 fish.  My mask was very tight so after 45 minutes we came out and sat in the sun. The schools of fish were jumping right out of the water like synchronized swimmers.  (See movie clip). In the distance we could see 3 oil tankers making their way from the Persian Gulf
